IRON MAIDEN Singer To Speak At PLASA Members' Lunch Event In London
April 24, 2012According to L&Si Online, IRON MAIDEN singer Bruce Dickinson will be a guest speaker when PLASA — "the lead professional trade association representing the worldwide entertainment, event, and installation technology industries" — hosts its 2012 European AGM and Members' Lunch on Tuesday, May 29 at BAFTA in Central London. Over 200 members and guests are expected to take part in the event, which includes the opportunity to feedback on the work that PLASA is doing, contribute to the future direction of the Association, and enjoy networking with fellow members.
Dickinson's entrepreneurial spirit has seen him obtain government funding to create an aircraft maintenance company creating 1,500 jobs in Wales and he is also involved in an airship venture to manufacture drones which have both a military and a commercial application.

Dickinson announced in November that he will be doing more rather than less in the aviation industry following the closure of Astraeus Airlines, with whom he was a Boeing 757 captain.
Gatwick-based Astraeus went into administration on November 21 — and by coincidence Dickinson was captain on the very last flight, operated on behalf of BMI, from Jeddah to Manchester.
